A 27 years old Nigerian girl is attempting to beat A 27 years old Nigerian girl is attempting to beat the record of the longest cooking time in the Guinness world records. She is by name Hilda Bassey Effiong @hildabaci from Akwa ibom state. The current holder of this record is Lata Tondon a lady from Indian origin and she completed the task at 87 hours 47 minutes 00seconds in 2019. Hilda is the daughter of the popular food vendor calabar pot @c.a.l.a.b.a.r_p.o.t in Abuja Nigeria, Hilda owns her own food brand in Lagos state Nigeria know as @myfoodbyhilda . This attempt started on the 11/05/2023 to end by 14/05/2023, so far Hilda has cooked over 115 meals for almost 3000 portions standing as she is not allowed to sit through out the cooking duration,As at 2pm on the 13/05/2023 Hilda has cooked for 70hours standing. Hilda named this cooking attempt “cook a thon”, it has attracted lots of Nigerian celebrities who have visited the event location to cheer her up and encourage her, the state Governor was also present at the venue to show his support.
